| The Toledo, Port Clinton & Lakeside Railway has been out of print since1964. Widely sought after throughout the last three decades, the book has commanded handsome prices at used book stores and railroadiana sales.
Now, through a special arrangement with the author and original publisher, Montevallo Historical Press is proud to issue an improved version of The Toledo, Port Clinton & Lakeside Railway as part of its effort to make oustanding historical works available at affordable prices.
What the Reviewers Say
This reprint of Dr. Hilton's classic...is so good that it is hard to tell it from an originalexcept when looking at the publisher's information on the back side of the title page! The text is quite detailed and readable (especially with the matte coated paper to cut eye strain), and the 70 photos have reproduced quite nicely. I hope [the publisher] will consider reprints of this quality for other, out-of-print books, as well as new titles such as [the] recent Lakeside and Marblehead book, just released. -- James S. Eakin, Traction Prototype and Models, Vol. 6 No. 2; Issue 32.

About Our Version of The Toledo, Port Clinton & Lakeside Railway
This is not just a reprintingit is quite an upgrade. We have carefully reformatted the original material in a less-crowded and more logical fashion. There are now 64 pages, up from the original 60, to allow more room for protective front and back matter as well as an enlarged and much more readable railway equipment roster.
The pages are heavy, 100-pound, matte-finish, coated paper, and the cover is of 100-pound cover stock, for maximum strength (this paper is very thick). A new "perfect" binding (upgraded from the original saddle-stitching) will stand up to many years of enjoyment.
We know that you'll be pleased with the results of our hard work. This book will be around for many decades.
